Double whammy for Urban Pacific at UDIA Awards

Congratulations to the Settlers Run and Westwood teams for their success at the 2009 UDIA State Awards of Excellence in Victoria and South Australia.

Settlers Run, was crowned the 2009 Landscaping Award winner, with Judges offering recognition for our ability to display outstanding characteristics in landscaping, including the nature and type of landscaping, the integration of existing native vegetation and the incorporation of new and innovative landscaping methods and ideas.

This is an excellent result for our boutique Golf Course Development, which focuses extensively on its unique landscaping and overlooks the Royal Botanic Gardens, Cranbourne.

The Killara Apartments at Westwood received an accolade in the Affordable Housing category at the UDIA (SA) Awards.

The Apartments provided one and two bedroom units overlooking the brand new Killara Reserve. Ranging in price from $175,000 to $242,000, all apartments were sold to first home buyers and were sold out within a month of release. This was the first time a lightweight, walk-up apartment product had been launched by Urban Pacific. The design has proven to be so popular that almost identical products are being built at the Tao Dan Reserve at Westwood.

The judges also praised Westwood for the Ridley Grove Community Garden, which received a commendation in the Local Community Development Award.

The Ridley Grove Community Garden has been embraced by local residents and has become a local hub for the community, with volunteers working in the garden every week. The Community Garden also features a Butterfly Trail and has been given official Butterfly Site status by Butterfly Conservation SA (BCSA).
