Urban Pacific Singles Out Singleton

Leading national residential developer, Urban Pacific Ltd (UPL), the company that created the award-winning Somerly estate in Clarkson, intends to repeat its success with an exciting new beachside residential development in Singleton.

UPL recently won a competitive tender for an 8.527 hectare site between Penson Street and Singleton Beach Road on which it plans to develop 111 lots.  Located just a 10-minute walk from the sea, the site has sweeping views of the ocean and adjoining parklands. From the higher vantage points you can see the Mandurah Heads - a rarity due to the limited elevated land in the surrounding area.

Settlement took place in December 2007. UPL will now commence the re-zoning process from ‘Urban Deferred’ to ‘Residential’ under the Metropolitan Regional Scheme, and seek relevant development approvals. First lot sales are expected in 2009.

UPL National Operations Manager Neil Anderson said an innovative concept plan will appeal to a wide range of potential buyers. “The smaller allotments will be rear loading and face onto public open space making them very attractive for people seeking lifestyle accommodation with minimal maintenance. The larger, higher lots will suit more spacious prestigious homes with magnificent views and larger gardens,” he said.

UPL has residential developments worth more than $5 billion in Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. Mr Anderson said the company had selected Singleton for its newest development because of the site’s prime position.

Located 55kms from the Perth CBD in the booming coastal strip between Rockingham and Mandurah, Singleton is serviced by the Mandurah Highway with links to the Kwinana Freeway. The area will have easy access to the proposed new rail network and the proposed station at Karnup and already has well established infrastructure including three child care centres, a primary school, sporting clubs, a community hall, sporting facilities, bus service and local shopping centre.
